    What is the refinishing process like?

    The easiest way to describe the tub and appliance refinishing process is to compare it to the painting and restoration of a car.

    Is the process messy?

    Not at all! Our technicians will simply need to tape off a few inches of the walls and floor immediately surrounding the tub...that's it!

    How long does the refinishing process take?

    A standard tub usually takes between four and six hours, with technicians returning the following day to re-install the drain and face plate once the tub is completely dry.

    How long do I have to wait to use the tub again?

    We suggest you wait 48 hours before using the tub again.

    Do I always have to refinish the entire tub?

    No. Depending on the condition of the tub, it may be possible to refinish just the bottom; or to repair a chip, crack, rust spot, or other small area of damage.

    How long does the finish last?

    With the proper care, the newly applied surface of a refinished tub will last approximately five years; although we have seen our finish last up to ten or more years on some tubs. Our technicians will educate you on how to properly care for the refinished surface at the completion of the project.
